09:17 pm - No APP required
After reading this article on Wired.com about the new Iphone 3GS battery overheating to the point where you can’t even pick it up, I thought hey, perfect timing for summer. This is one thing the Iphone 3GS can do, “No app Required.”
(final ink drawing/final color version)

07:29 pm - New Video
Ok, so there isn’t a new video…but it’s a new take on my NYC Video. My brother sent me this pretty swell “BENNY HILLIFIER” link. Just take the code of any youtube video and it plays the theme song of The Benny Hill show over it. Too bad it doesn’t speed it up but HERE IT IS. Chad Covino Goes to NYC - Benny Hillified I tried it out with all of them and it seems to work best with this one. *Side Note* I always have this song playing in my head whenever I travel, haha.

08:47 pm - Touched by Fire Gallery Show
This coming Saturday, November 15th in the great city of Toronto at the Gladstone Hotel, I will be apart of a gallery show called…”TOUCHED BY FIRE.” It’s a show for artists with mood disorders, for I has the ADHD. Here’s a link to read more about it: Touched by Fire Gallery ShowWish I could go but I have a wedding to go to and I’m unable to attend. Dry. Here's the piece I am entering which I framed myself. I'M LEARNING. Brown Thrush Framed 2, originally uploaded by Chad C.. I have to say it’s been a while, maybe a month or two but hey…thems the breaks. I’ve been busy with work these days and haven’t really updated my site but don’t worry, I haven’t retired from doing the video blogs…don’t you worry buck-a-roo.
Things that have been keeping me busy:
* Learning to make my own frames.
Thats RIGHT, I have been. I went to a garage sale and picked up a neat-o table router and I’ve been practicing making frames myself instead of outsourcing them to be done. Too expensive around here, that and all of my family is handy in wood working so I’ve been picking their brains and reading books about archival quality materials. Really interesting to learn about actually.
* “What book would you recommend reading about framing and what not?”
Well, I dunno really. The library in my area only has the most recent books from the 1980s but hell, framing hasn’t changed that much. In regards to the process of putting a frame together. NOT the process of materials used, that has changed by leaps and bounds with all these archival acid free tapes and boards to preserve your work over 200 years.
BUT! The only book I read was by someone named “MANLY BANISTER.” Doesn’t that sound like someone you can trust? I think so.
For the artists out there reading this, I recommend going out and buying a “PH Testing Pen” It’s really worth it when buying materials and you can’t tell if it’s acid free or not. The pen reacts and turns purple if it’s acid free, but if it turns clear it means it’s really acidic.
* Working on new Material
THATS ALSO FACTUAL. When I get in these “FUNKS” so to speak…of not drawing a lot, I spent time writing and focusing on other parts of my craft that could use work. Gotta keep all my bases covered you know.
That would be everything for now. I’ll update when I update so in the mean time…check out my flickr site for more shots of my framed work AND ALSO, Head to that Gallery if you’re in the Toronto area and tell me how well the show turned out.

04:57 pm - castle_crashers
Recently my brother and I purchased the new Castle Crashers game and I have to say that it's the best side scrolling game I've played. This is the sword from the final boss...too bad you can't do any of the attacks he does. DRY.
I think more developers should start making more side scrolling games...and let me do the promotional artwork for them.

11:46 pm - My thoughts on Bigfoot...
This is what I really believed to have happened with bigfoot. I forgot to post it to my livejournal account...sorry haha. *Side Note* My good friend nenimo stumbled me a video someone took from the "Square Foot 2008 Show" in Toronto. PRETTY SLICK! If you look closely around 30-33 seconds in you will see an all brown painting. Thats my Waffle. I don't know where the bird is either... *End Transmission* Chad C.
